Jordan and Katie finally made it official at The Westin Trillium House in Blue Mountain on August 8 2015. This was the first Blue Mountain wedding I’ve shot where the ceremony didn’t take place on the mountain top. I quite liked the intimacy of the venue they chose. They lucked out immensly with some awesome weather too. It was that perfect balance of haze, clouds and blue sky. There is nothing worse than shooting in direct sunlight. Just about every client I’ve worked with is under the mistaken assumption that a bright sunny day equals the best weather for photography. Tsk, tsk. It’s a risky move planning your wedding outdoors at high noon. Just a little tip for you engaged couples out there.
I absolutely adored Katie’s make-up. The make-up artist did such a fabulous job keeping things natural, yet still glamorous.
As with most brides getting their hair done, Pinterest is so key. Katie simply pulled up the pin of the hair she wanted and the stylist nailed it.
With every wedding I always make sure to get individual shots of the bridesmaids.
